Finance & Accounting Manager

We are a Twin Cities software startup in the dynamic fintech space, building our dream team for the next stage of growth.
Reporting to the COO, the Finance and Accounting Manager will help build and oversee the financial function at Micah group, including planning, reporting, metrics, and operations. This is a hands-on position with a small team at a fast-paced, growing startup.
We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who is eager to take ownership and set best practices that guide us towards scalable growth.
This is a remote position with the option to work from our Plymouth, MN office
What You’ll Do
Manage day-to-day accounting and finance functions including revenue recognition, A/R, A/P, and financial reporting
Build out processes and policies for our financial function
Prepare financial reports and materials for investors and board meetings
Analyze operational and financial performance across our business
Set KPIs to monitor performance for investor relations and fundraising
Collaborate with team leaders on business plans and budgets
Understand revenue drivers and recommend improvement opportunities
Implement efficiencies to streamline processes
Manage banking and tax relationships, as well as third-party bookkeeper
Support SOC2 activities and other tasks as needed
What You’ll Need
5-8+ years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, investment banking, and/or management consulting
Professional experience working in FP&A and accounting
Experience with financial systems and software
Strong data skills to analyze and monitor company health
Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, sales, product and engineering to deliver results
Nice to Have
Experience working in a growth stage company or startup
Understanding of the SaaS space and structuring SaaS agreements
Experience forecasting client revenue and preparing profitability analyses
