Content Writing Intern

We are a Twin Cities fintech startup helping lenders better serve the small businesses that strengthen our communities. In this internship, you will craft informative, engaging content for our website and social media pages. As part of a small team, you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact and gain hands-on experience.

6–8 hours per week
$20.00 per hour
12-week program with opportunity to expand
Remote position (with option to work from our Plymouth office)
What you’ll do
Write and proofread 3–4 website articles per month across a range of financial (business lending) and technology topics
Draft language for LinkedIn and Twitter updates
Make changes based on feedback
Create a monthly email blast with links to website articles
Work under the guidance of our COO for topics and requirements
Research topics, fact-check information and collaborate with team members as needed
Maintain consistency and professional tone of voice
Other writing duties as assigned e.g., website copy, bios, announcements, company updates, and/or marketing materials
What you’ll need
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in grammar, spelling and sentence structure
Currently enrolled in a communications, marketing, technical writing or journalism degree program
Nice to Have
SEO knowledge
Interest in technology and financial services
Published writing experience
Familiarity with Google Drive/Workspace, Slack, Squarespace, and/or Mailchimp

Ability to work in a fluid, remote environment while staying flexible, organized and humble along the way
Position is 100% REMOTE (or based in our Plymouth, MN office)
Must be eligible to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available at this time
